For Youth Development
For Healthy Living
For Social Responsibility

Put on your game face and let's get ready to rumble! We'll practice good sportsmanship through playing classic games, such as dodgeball, flag football, and kickball. We'll kick fitness into high gear -- Summer Adventure Day Camp style!

Stretch out and bring along your water bottle for our ultimate Y games!

The opportunities that playing provides to kids are fundamental to building a love of physical fitness. Free playtime encourages more physical activity and this will reduce our worries about childhood obesity. Also, time spent playing is time building friendships, time learning about cooperation, and time invested in community building.

High fives from new friends and high praise from our superstar counselors help your kids feel cared for and connected. (Read this story from the Washington Post last week.)

Beyond nurturing future sports stars, we are helping kids fulfill their potential as future leaders!

This week is GAMESAPALOOZA at Michiana Family YMCA Summer Adventure Day Camp.

We will play ball (dodgeball, flag football, kickball and lawn bowling) and try something new (kid's yogo, ultimate Frisbee and field hockey) before we cool down (arts & crafts making sports picture frames and posters and a visit from Professor Popcorn.)

Everyday we'll start with breakfast from 8-8:30 and share lunch at Noon. We'll take a break for a snack at 3:45. Be sure you have your tennis shoes, swimsuit, towel & water bottle every day!

On Friday, we'll take a trip to Strikes & Spares for bowling and mini golf.
